UniLight UniConnect Cable Connection Set 9 Primary 4 Secondary DIRECT (3 Servo) DIY 2 Pairs DIRECT-9P4S-DIY
The new plug-in system uniCONNECT uses massive knives and heavy-duty skirting boards. Thanks to the new design, it is now finally possible to realize high numbers of poles in one connector with a small overall size - currently up to 22 pins. Over 3000 mating cycles are possible with loads up to 10A. Optimally designed for use with model making.
The male connectors offer the advantage that all cables can be reliably and easily soldered without a plastic support being able to melt. There are also strain relief, detent, handle and anti-kink protection. The contacts of the male connectors are always visible, whereby damage and contamination can be recognized immediately.
The biggest advantage of the system, however, is that even in the plug a double redundancy for important control functions is provided. For this reason, the system not only specifies conventional pin numbers, but differentiates between primary pins (double, for main functions) and secondary pins (single, for light, chassis, brake, ...).
FLOATING CABLE and FLOATING HEADER are two groups of plug-in systems that were developed exclusively for the independent contacting of wing and fuselage. There are no cables or plugs hanging around that could be damaged or soiled. The male connector is contacted directly with the socket during assembly. This is reliably possible with uniCONNECT because the sockets are not rigid but "floating" connected to the carrier and therefore can move with slight movements and vibrations of the wings. Of course, the system is only suitable for rigidly bolted connections.
The two groups CABLE and HEADER differ only in the connection. CABLE was developed primarily for reliable solder joints, HEADER is prepared with normal pins for Uni plug.
All plugs are screwed together from several high-quality fiberglass elements and can be disassembled and maintained at any time. For this we offered each plug in two versions:
DIRECT CABLE as the first group is a classic connection, in which a socket is installed eg in the fuselage and the cables are led from the wing to a plug. This plug is guided into the socket during assembly and locks there. The rest of the cable is pushed back into the wing.
RTR as ready mounted and soldered unit with 2 / 3m cable connected directly 1 to 1. This is installed on one side, the length defined to the servo and assembled with crimp contacts. The remaining cable is laid on the other side to the receiver and assembled there. This finished unit is always delivered in one piece.
DIY as a kit for the modeler with all parts and screws for their own construction. This priced, of course, very attractive, always delivered as a pair to 2 pieces.
